Memorial UMC has employment opportunities! We are seeking candidates for the following positions:
Full-Time Director of Children's Education.
The Director of Children's Education will oversee all facets of the church's ministry to children from their infancy to grade 5, and will teach Bible classes at our on-campus elementary school.
Memorial is seeking applicants who can build, maintain, and develop teams. Candidates should have some Bible and Theology training at the college level and have related work experience. We are seeking dreamers and creative self-starters who are organized and fun.
Community outreach and ministry is an important part of this position. As such, the Children's Education Director will oversee the development of year Vacation Bible School, plan and execute kid- and family-focused community outreach events such as the yearly Easter Egg Hunt, and plan 4th and 5th grade field trips and retreats.
Other responsibilities and duties will include finding creative ways to connect kids to the mission of God locally and globally, working with the Director of Student Ministries to create bridges between Children and Youth programs, and developing Children's Choir and Drama ministries to help children engage in worship.
